“Bhausaheb Bhoir, a rebel candidate from the NCP, poses new challenges for the party’s official candidate.”
In a surprising development, Siddik Shaikh, the All-India Forward Bloc candidate, and president of Apna Watan Sanghatna, announced support for independent candidate Bhausaheb Bhoir in Chinchwad assembly constituency.
Anant Korhale of Shiv Sena has also backed Bhoir, gaining support from various groups like Republican Party factions and communities such as Teli, Mali, Dhangar, and Matang.
Bhoir, a rebel candidate of the NCP, poses a challenge to the official candidate in the upcoming election.
The Chinchwad assembly election will see a contest between BJP’s Shankar Jagtap and NCP’s Rahul Kalate from Mava Vikas Aghadi. Bhoir, a senior former corporator, represents the NCP-AP faction.
Shaikh mentioned that no candidate in Chinchwad represents all communities equally. He believes Bhoir stands for inclusivity and true democratic values, unlike other candidates.
Bhoir, confident in his work and experience in politics for over three decades, has received support from many organizations. He is optimistic about winning with the people’s support.
